Östansjö School is a small school with about 110 students located in the community of Östansjö, about 8 km outside Hallsberg. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a staff member for the leisure home. In the role of teacher in the leisure home, you will be part of a stable and committed work team that constantly strives for development within the leisure activities. Our conditions are based on close cooperation with the school's staff, student health, and management team.

In this position, it is important to be engaged and responsive to the students' needs. Together with other staff, you will work to create a developing, safe, meaningful, and positive environment throughout the student's day. The work aims to help students reach as far as possible and develop according to their own conditions in accordance with the educational goals. Your role includes maintaining close contact and collaboration with other leisure staff, students, and students' guardians. During the school day, you will be a present, active, and supportive educator in the classroom or in other forms of teaching as well as during breaks.

You will actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work and take responsibility for planning, leading, and developing the leisure home's teaching. In this role, you will also have an extended responsibility for planning and coordinating the activities. You will be part of the school's management team. You will also be the leisure home's representative in the municipality's joint leisure network, where you will jointly plan, implement, and evaluate network meetings for all leisure home staff in the municipality together with deputy principals.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified teacher in leisure home with a teaching license. We want you to be flexible, communicative, and willing to take on a mission focused on the organization's goals. You are familiar with the curriculum and other governing documents and have the ability to translate theory into practice. You have the ability and drive to actively participate in the school's change work in relation to the school's development plan. We work based on the competent student where influence and participation are important.

We are looking for someone who is positive, cheerful, secure, and enthusiastic in their work. In your daily work, you should be able to meet people with empathy and understanding. You are also flexible and see opportunities for various adaptations in the organization. You prioritize the needs of the students.

For this position, you are required to have:

• Teaching license with qualification as a teacher in leisure home
• Good digital competence with experience in using digital pedagogical tools
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Driving license B

Meritorious

• Experience working as a teacher in leisure home
• Experience working in a school with students in primary school
• Experience working with students who need extra adaptations and special support.
• Experience leading colleagues and the pedagogical work within the leisure home.
• Experience actively driving the systematic development and quality work of the leisure home forward.
• Experience in scheduling, planning, and coordination.
